Vanderhoof Airport Aviation Business Park

The District of Vanderhoof is now able to support air-related business developments on site because of the addition of the Vanderhoof Airport Aviation Business Park.

About This Project

The Vanderhoof Airport Aviation Business Park will be located adjacent to the Vanderhoof Airport, and is less than 3 km out of downtown Vanderhoof. The airport features two grass runways that are 3,200 ft. and 5,200 ft. long as well as a 5,000 ft. long paved runway. With its new lighting system, it is now able to handle night flights, and as such is open 24 hours a day. Additionally, there is a new weather monitoring station located at the airport.

Vanderhoof’s location on the Highway 16 and the northern main line of the CN railway, makes it an important transportation, supply and service centre. Vanderhoof also has available land with access to rail, port and air services, as well as abundant power and natural gas supplies combine to provide suitability and interest in primary, secondary and resource manufacturing investment.

The Vanderhoof Airport is also home toe the Guardian Aerospace Training School, which provides local talent to businesses planning on flying to and from the area.
