The Prince George Airport is part of the National Airport System, comprised of 26 airports that link the country from coast to coast and internationally. The National Airport System includes those airports considered essential to Canada's air transportation system, supporting both domestic prosperity and international competitiveness. A recent expansion to the runway makes it the third largest in Canada and allows for the landing, refueling, and loading/unloading of the wide bodied Boeing 767 and 747 aircrafts that Trans-Pacific cargo and logistics carriers operate. Development of the Prince George Global Logistics Park will make use of the increased capabilities at the airport.
